The Niki Museum was closed for an indefinite period from Monday,
September 1, 2009.

Thank you very much for your support you have shown us over the years.
When there is a new development regarding the re-opening of the museum,

The Niki Museum, a unique museum that collects only works by the world-famous artist Niki de Saint Phalle, opened in Nasu, Japan, in 1994. We hope to introduce the Museum, its collection and the artist's spirit to as many people as possible. Your comment on this page is very welcome.


Special Closing Exhibition

To express our deepest gratitude to you for your long years of support, we are holding a special closing exhibition titled "Niki and Yoko:  Memorial Exhibition".
The exhibition will follow Niki de Saint Phalle's life and art, as well as the history of Niki Museum with Niki's works and photographs.

"Tarot Garden" photograph exhibition is being held.
"Tarot Garden" photograph exhibition has been done in this pavilion since April 12, 2008.
The dream utopia that Niki produced in Italy and Tuscany disregarding it during the remainder is taken a picture, and exhibited vividly.

Niki de Saint Phalle Receives the Praemium Imperial Prize
The World Pays Respect to Niki's Great Accomplishment
On July 2000, it was announced at the Tate Modern Museum in London that Niki de Saint Phalle, whose works are exhibited in Niki Museum, was to receive the 12th Praemium Imperial Prize (Sculpture Category) sponsored by the Japan Art Association (Prince Masahito Hitachi Governor).
