| Nana series followed the shooting paintings. Niki, who was brought up in a very conservative family, reflected upon the roles of women in this group of works. She depicted the persecuted women, whores and witches, criticizing the male-dominated society. Nana is a goddess full of joy and power. Nana is herself a positive message sent to all kinds of women. |
